Splashes: the first shows a simplified version of both above and below the water surface.
The second shows a more detailed above shot of the splash.

The Old lady jumps in this, one of the frames had moved. Hard to see lip sync with line tests, will double check with scanned files.

The line test is a little blurry, unsure if the test is too quick throughout the middle.

Using the footage I tried to understand and break down the movements...

I focused mainly on the outstretched movement, watching him pulling back and bending his arms towards himself. I feel more focus on him leaning back is needed to highlight the power behind the entire movement. Additionally, the wrist movement needs more attention.


...note to self - more rowing research needed.

I found all of the images and notes in the book very useful in helping me gain an understanding of the nature and physics of fire and its movement.

Water Research

We decided to do a little research at the pool to study how fabric and hair under water and the movement of water and splashes.

Here we are trying to act out the scene when Murdo is thrown from the boat
